RugbyU: Tuliagi on bench for England title bid against Italy

Manu Tuilagi will start on the bench for England's final Six Nations game against Italy on Saturday after coach Stuart Lancaster named an unchanged starting XV. Powerful centre Tuilagi has played just 70 minutes for club side Leicester since regaining full fitness following a chest muscle injury and if he comes on in Rome's the Olympic Stadium it will be his first England appearance in more than a year. The midfielder replaced Alex Goode on the bench in the only change to the England 23 that saw off two-time defending champions Wales 29-18 at Twickenham on Saturday.

Tuilagi named in England squad to face Italy

By Tom Hayward LONDON (Reuters) - England have named center Manu Tuilagi in their squad for the Six Nations game against Italy in Rome on Saturday. Tuilagi, who recently returned to action for his club Leicester after six months on the sidelines with a chest muscle injury, has not played for England since their 30-3 loss away to Wales in last year's Six Nations. The 22-year-old replaces Saracens' Alex Goode on the bench in head coach Stuart Lancaster's squad.

RugbyU: England consider Italy recall for Tuilagi

England are considering whether to bring back Manu Tuilagi among their replacements as they plan one final attempt to take the 2014 Six Nations title this weekend. England need to beat bottom of the table Italy -- winless so far in the tournament -- in Rome on Saturday, ideally by a huge margin to erode Ireland's massive points difference advantage before the Irish kick-off against France, the third side in title contention, later in the day in the final match of the Championship.

RugbyU: Tuilagi and Yarde added to England squad

Leicester centre Manu Tuilagi and London Irish wing Marland Yarde were recalled to the England squad on Monday after injury lay-offs ahead of Sunday's Six Nations international against two-time defending champions Wales at Twickenham. The pair will now train with Stuart Lancaster's side but it would be a major surprise if either of them were in the match-day 23 due to be announced by the England coach on Friday. "They'd have to go some in the next couple of days, it's fair to say," Lancaster said Monday.

RugbyU: England centre Tuilagi out for three months

England centre Manu Tuilagi could miss next year's Six Nations after his club Leicester revealed on Tuesday that he will be sidelined until February with a chest injury. The 22-year-old has undergone surgery to repair a torn pectoral muscle, having initially sustained the injury in an English Premiership match in September. "Manu Tuilagi has not been able to recover fully from the pec muscle injury with rehab and he had surgery yesterday (Monday) to repair that," said Leicester director of rugby Richard Cockerill.

Rugby star Tuilagi apologises for Cameron photo prank

British and Irish Lions rugby player Manu Tuilagi has apologised for playing a prank on Prime Minister David Cameron during a photo call at Downing Street on Monday. As Cameroon lined up for a picture alongside members of the Lions squad that secured a 2-1 series victory over Australia in July, Tuilagi put his hand behind the Conservative Party leader's head and gave him 'bunny ears'. The incident was shown on several British news channels, prompting Tuilagi to express remorse. "Apologies for messing around on Lions photo," the Leicester Tigers centre wrote on Twitter.
