RugbyL: St Helens' Soliola to quit Super League

Samoan international centre Sia Soliola is leaving Super League side St Helens at the end of the season to move to a new club in Australia. The 27-year-old who turned out for St Helens in Friday's 30-28 win at Castleford moved to the Super League in 2010 from Sydney Roosters. Soliola won 11 caps with New Zealand from 2006-09 before switching his allegiance to Samoa, whom he captained in the 2013 World Cup. "Sia has made a decision that he's going to go home at the end of this year, which is unfortunate for us," St Helens coach Nathan Brown said.

RugbyL: Hohaia keen to answer Saints' Grand Final prayers

It is eight years since St Helens last tasted Super League Grand Final success and Lance Hohaia is focused on ending the famous club's title drought. Saints were the only side to keep their 100 percent start to the season intact last weekend, beating Wakefield Trinity 24-16 to sit top of the table after six rounds. It represents a positive start in the Lancashire club's pursuit of a first Grand Final appearance since 2011, the last of five straight defeats for the Saints in English rugby league's showpiece match.
