SS Starlin Castro went 0-for-4 Sunday and is now batting .243. The slumping shortstop was demoted from leadoff spot to No. 7 in the order last week. He remains the Cubs' iron man with 255 consecutive games played, the longest active streak in the National League.
RHP Kyuji Fujikawa (ruptured ulnar collateral ligament) went on the 15-day disabled list May 27 and was transferred to the 60-day DL on May 30. He was scheduled to see Dr. James Andrews June 10 and have Tommy John surgery on his right elbow June 11. He is out until sometime next season.
