Islamabad, Aug 5 (EFE).- Two people were killed and more than two-dozen others hurt Monday when a bomb went off on a intercity train in Pakistan, police told Efe.
The device, which was planted under a seat, exploded around midday as the Shalimar Express was roughly 200 kilometers (120 miles) south of Lahore bound for the port city of Karachi, police officer Said Ali said.
Both of the dead were children, according to police, while Express Tribune newspaper put the number of fatalities at three.
Several of the wounded are in serious condition, Ali said.
