ECP’s directive against Qaim

Taking notice of the violation of elections code of conduct, Election Commission of Pakistan (ECP) has directed Chief Secretary Sindh to stop former Chief Minister Sindh Syed Qaim Ali Shah from using official protocol for his political meetings.In this regard, Secretary ECP Ishtiaq Ahmad Khan has written a letter to Chief Secretary Sindh Raja Muhammad Abbas and directed him to convey to former Chief Minister Sindh to avoid the use of such protocol as it is violation of code of conduct as well as against the principles of provision of level playing field to all contesting candidates.

Nomination papers of ex-governor MB Abbasi, Khuhro, Kharal approved

Ibad leaves for foreign visit

Sind Governor Dr Ishratul Ibad Khan left here on Sunday night for a three-day foreign visit. Speaker Sind Assembly Nisar Ahmed Khuhro took the charge of acting governor on Monday morning. According to an official announcement, Khuhro will perform as acting governor Sind during the absence of Ibad.

PPP leader rules out any possible alliance with Arbab group

Faqir Sher Mohammad Balalani, a PPP Sindh Council Member and NA-229 candidate contesting against Arbab Ghulam Rahim, on Monday ruled out any possible PPP alliance with Arbab group.Talking to reporters in Mithi, he said that there is no truth in news of any such alliance as Arbab Rahim is making last efforts to save his political reputation by propagating such news.Balalani said that talk of Faryal's visit to Arbabs was mere rumours, which was a bid to misguide people of Thar. Naved Qamar files poll nomination form in Tando Muhammad Khan
