SEOUL, March 13 (Yonhap) -- Lotte Chemical Corp., a South Korean petrochemical company, said Wednesday that it will launch a new synthetic rubber business by joining hands with Japanese firms.
To that end, Lotte Chemical, formerly known as Honam Petrochemical Corp., will form a joint venture with Japanese chemical firm Ube Industries Ltd. and Japanese trading firm Mitsubishi Corp. to manufacture and sell polybutadiene rubber and build a plant in Malaysia, the company said.
