A British policeman was on Thursday arrested on suspicion of leaking confidential information to the media, as part of a corruption probe arising from the News of the World phone-hacking scandal.
The 51-year-old, a member of London's Metropolitan Police force, was arrested in a dawn raid at his home in Wiltshire, western England. He was questioned before being bailed on Thursday evening, a police statement said.
He has also been suspended from his job.
