SOCHI, Russia, Feb. 17 (Yonhap) -- South Korea was eliminated from the women's curling tournament at the Sochi Winter Olympics on Monday, despite routing the United States 11-2.
South Korea scored four points in the first end and never looked back, improving to 3-5 in the round robin stage in its first ever Winter Games. The U.S. ended the Olympics with its worst record at 1-8.
With one final round robin match remaining against Canada, however, South Korea will not reach the semifinals from the group of 10 countries.
