French actor Omar Sy joins 'X-Men' cast

French actor Omar Sy, who won praise for his starring role in the film "The Intouchables," has been added to the star-studded cast of the next "X-Men movie," director Bryan Singer has said. "X-Men: Days of Future Past" -- a follow-up to the 2011 reboot "X-Men" First Class," already boasts best actress Oscar winner Jennifer Lawrence, Hugh Jackman, Michael Fassbender, Ian MacKellen and Patrick Stewart among the cast. "Thrilled to welcome the brilliant #OmarSy from the amazing film #TheIntouchables to the cast of #Xmen #DaysofFuturePast!" Singer said on Twitter.

French film 'Les Intouchables' wins Spanish film award

The French blockbuster "Les Intouchables" won the best European film prize at the prestigious Spanish film awards, the Goyas, on Sunday, while Pablo Berger's "Blancanieves" took the top film award. "Les Intouchables", directed by Olivier Nakache and Eric Toledano, has become the second biggest box office hit in France and the biggest selling French film overseas of all time. It is a story about the relationship between a quadriplegic millionaire and a caretaker he hires from a poor Parisian suburb.
