Spanish film producer Elias Querejeta dies

Madrid, Jun 9 (EFE).- Spanish film producer Elias Querejeta died on Sunday in Madrid, Spanish Audiovisual Producers Association, or FAPAE, representatives told Efe. He was 78. Querejeta was "the best Spanish producer of all time" and a "very special" person who leaves a "great legacy" for future generations in Spanish film, FAPAE president Pedro Perez said.

U.S. exhibition looks at Dali's work with designer Rabanne

Los Angeles, Apr 23 (EFE).- An exhibtion at the Robert Berman Gallery in Los Angeles looks at the creative partnership among Spanish artist Salvador Dali, designer Paco Rabanne and Swiss photographer Jean Clemmer. This is the first time that this Clemmer project has been shown in the United States and the exhibition provides a look at two decades of images that serve as a prelude to the sexual revolution, organizers told Efe.

Wang goes for 'modern elegance' in Balenciaga debut at Paris fashion

New York fashion star Alexander Wang on Thursday presented his much anticipated first show for Balenciaga with a collection praised as "elegance, modernity (and) structure", as India's Manish Arora took prints to new heights. In one of the shows of the week, Wang paid homage to founder Cristobal Balenciaga in what he modestly described as a "prologue". Wang, one of the hottest names in US fashion who also has his own label, was announced last December as the replacement for Nicolas Ghesquiere whose surprise departure came after 15 years with the French fashion house.
