Lyon indicated on their official website that the club would seek to take legal action "in view of the seriousness of what has happened and the injuries."

Football: Five sent-off as red mist shrouds Corsican derby

Bastia's 1-0 win over bitter Corsican rivals Ajaccio was overshadowed by an injury-time skirmish that prompted the referee, who had already sent-off one player, to issue four more red cards, two to each side. Veteran striker Toifilou Maoulida netted the Ligue 1 game's only goal two minutes after half-time to halt Bastia's run of six matches without victory but tempers flared at Stade Armand Cesari after home goalkeeper Mickael Landreau was caught by the boot of Kenyan forward Dennis Oliech in the closing stages.
