7 U.S. troops die in training exercise

Washington, Mar 19 (EFE).- Seven U.S. Marines were killed and another seven were wounded during live-fire training exercises in Nevada, the military said Tuesday. The accident occurred late Monday night at Hawthorne Army Depot. The troops belonged to the 2nd Marine Division, based at Camp Lejeune, North Carolina. The wounded were taken to hospitals in the area for medical examinations and treatment. The identities of the troops who died will not be revealed until their families are officially notified.
