Equestrian: Australia's Fredericks out of hospital

Australia's Lucinda Fredericks has been released from hospital after suffering a fall during an event in Hampshire, southern England, earlier this month, the rider's website said Thursday. The 45-year-old, who won an Olympic three-day event team silver medal with Australia at the Beijing Games in 2008, fractured her collarbone in four places and suffered six broken ribs following a cross-country fall at Tweseldown, near Aldershot. She subsequently underwent surgery, including the insertion of a plate in her collarbone, and spent two weeks in hospital.
