A Zimbabwean court on Tuesday freed prominent rights lawyer Beatrice Mtetwa, who had faced charges of obstructing the course of justice during a police raid.
"There is no evidence that the accused person prevented police from searching. She is therefore discharged," Harare magistrate, Rumbidzai Mugwagwa ruled on Tuesday.
Mugwagwa said from the facts presented in court there was no evidence that Mtetwa "obstructed the course of justice" when she arrived on the scene of a police raid at the offices of aides to then Prime Minister Morgan Tsvangirai.
