Germany's Andrea Petkovic rallied for a 1-6, 6-3, 7-5 upset of sixth-seeded Eugenie Bouchard on Saturday to reach the final of the WTA Family Circle Cup.
Petkovic, seeded 14th and ranked 40th in the world, withstood the big baseline game of the rising Canadian star, who impressed with her run to the Australian Open semi-finals in January.
In fact, Bouchard controlled much of the match, needing just 29 minutes to lock up the first set.
She had three break chances in the sixth game of the second before Petkovic won the set to force the decisive third.
