Queensland continued their dominance over New South Wales in Sydney Wednesday, winning their eighth straight State of Origin series in a fiercely fought 12-10 contest. The Maroons dug deep to finish the frenetic decider on top after the Blues had moved to within two points with a converted try nine minutes from full-time before almost 84,000 fans at the city's Olympic stadium.

New South Wales will be without their inspirational leader Paul Gallen as they bid to end Queensland's record seven straight State of Origin series wins in Wednesday's decider in Sydney.
