Football: Jackett appointed Wolves manager

Fading English giants Wolverhampton Wanderers on Friday announced that they have appointed former Millwall manager Kenny Jackett as their new head coach. The 51-year-old succeeds fellow Welshman Dean Saunders, who was sacked after Wolves were relegated to third-tier League One earlier this month. Jackett stepped down from his role at Millwall on the same day. "I am both proud and delighted to have been appointed head coach at Wolves, and am really looking forward to the challenge ahead," Jackett told the Wolves website.
