Lima, Jun 6 (EFE).- Florindo Flores Hala, the last of Peru's original Shining Path guerrilla leaders, told a Lima court that he was not a drug trafficker and was only a political leader, media reports said.
Flores Hala, known as "Comrade Artemio," is being tried on drug trafficking, money laundering and terrorism charges.
"They want to incriminate me for crimes I have not committed. I do not have to ask forgiveness for anything, I have nothing to be ashamed of," Flores Hala said.
