Tropical Storm Lorena, churned along the Pacific coast of Mexico Friday, on a course to slam into southern Baja California.
The US National Hurricane Center in Miami said that at 1200 GMT, Lorena was located about 95 miles (155 kilometers) southeast of Cabo San Lucas, Mexico.
The storm is packing maximum sustained winds of 40 miles (65 kilometers) per hour, and was moving toward the northwest at 14 miles (22 kilometers) per hour.
Lorena is expected to make landfall late Friday or early Saturday in Baja California, the NHC said, before dissipating later in the weekend.
