Swedish Academy resorts to Twitter in search for Nobel winner

The Swedish Academy could not reach this year's Nobel literature winner Alice Munro for several hours after announcing the award and resorted to tweeting their frustration, a spokesman said Thursday. Although the 82-year-old Canadian author spoke to Canada's public radio station CBC shortly after the announcement, the Academy which awards the prize was unable to reach her, despite having a half-hour head start. The Academy traditionally contacts prize winners ahead of the announcement but not this time.
