Olympics: Begg-Smith's career ends with face down in snow

It probably wasn't the bang he wanted to go out with but former Olympic champion Dale Begg-Smith's moguls career ended with a face full of snow on Monday. The Canadian-born 29-year-old won gold in Turin in 2006 and added silver in Vancouver four years ago but there was to be no last hurrah in Sochi for the controversial Australian Begg-Smith finished 19th in the first heat and needed a top 10 finish in the last chance second heat to qualify for the final.
